Song of Solomon 4:7 "You're beautiful from head to toe, my dear love, beautiful beyond compare, absolutely flawless."
Have you ever read the book of Song of Solomon? Have you ever got confused or thought man that's a book for married couples, what is that doing in the bible?
When really this is a book totally about the Love of God! And oh how He loves you!
In Chapter 1 the Woman of the story is dealing with insecurity. Her brothers always made fun of her. She was so insecure with the way she looks. She makes mentioned that nobody cared for her so she didn't care for herself. Her very skin was an insult to her. A body not worth loving. Sound familiar?
But then she finds love! She finds someone whom her heart yearns for and for a moment in Chapter 3 she thinks she loses him! She is so in love that it disturbs her sleep. So she's on the hunt for her lover. She can't find him anywhere and comes across other men in the city. These were men that were working in the night probably tall dark and handsome yet she doesn't give in to them, she's on a quest! But she passed the test! She didn't give into cheating on her man and he shows up!
That's the story of many church goers, They are with Jesus but then they think he's not around and instead of dismissing the men of this world they fall into lust for them and lose track of their true love but what would have happened if this woman did give into that night watchman? Her lover would have found her cheating! Its when we can pass the lust of this world and stay focused on Christ that he will show up in our lives and our longings will be fulfilled.
So the lover comes back and he comes with a chariot and 60 warriors, a confirmation that Christ will return again to be our avenger! And here's then we find the beauty of the love of God in Chapter 4.
This insecure woman finds that in her lover she is Flawless!
She was so downcast about herself but true love sees no wrong, no flaws!
When we come to Christ, when we seek for him, and we find him he does not see the flaws we believe we have. His love is so concerned about us. Chapter 4 is pretty descriptive in the way he compliments the woman from head to toe but why? It's because God is letting us know he cares about us. All of us. Every inch of our body is his concern and we are in right relations with him. We are completely .... Flawless!
