It's A Deal

 2 Chronicles 6:14 "He said, "Lord, you are the God of Israel. There is no God like you in heaven or on earth. You keep the covenant you made with us. You show us your love. You do that when we follow you with all our hearts."

God is the Ultimate Deal maker!

As a parent of a 3 year old and guardian of an 11 year old and 17 year old I've learned to "Make a Deal". Children always want something. "Dad I want that toy?" "Can you buy me that video game?" "Can I go somewhere?" "Daddy I saw this on tv can I get that?" The requests seem endless. And of course the love of a parent you want to get them those things because you love to see them happy but then you have to stop and think 'wait a minute ... do they deserve it?' And the deal making takes affect.

"Ok if you really want this, then..."

We use it as a positive reinforcement for good grades or well done chores. But really it's a prize for obedience. God is the same way. He has so many promises for us! And according to this scripture he will keep his covenant with us when we follow him with all our hearts! Really its that simple. In order to walk in all that God has for us we just need to walk with God!

Simple yet overlooked. Independence screams in the streets and so many believers follow that voice. Its not enough to hear about tragedies people have gone through because of sin - we want to go out and experience them ourselves. We know smoking causes cancer. Alcohol is addicting and causes grief to families and lives. Drugs are dangerous and can kill. Multiple sex partners lead to diseases or pregnancies. As much as we know this the thrill is still in doing it and our flesh gives in.

But God says I'll make a deal with you! If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, pray, and turn from their wicked ways then I will hear their prayers and heal their land! God is making a deal with us! He WANTS to bring Healing into your life, into your family, into your land!

If you "claim" to be a "believer" then START BELIEVING! Get right and start being obedient to God. Walk with him and walk in the promises he has for you!
